Job Summary:

The Plate Coating Tech will set up and run all equipment necessary to manufacture coated plates, in a self-directed team environment. Perform formulation of bulk solutions for Plate Coating.

This position is a rotating 4 day schedule, 10 hour shift. 

RIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Read and follow documentation, SOP’s, Work Instructions and equipment manuals.
  • Proficient at setting up, running and maintaining plate coating equipment.
  • Successfully use lab equipment to formulate bulk solutions following documentation.
  • Perform all work safely.
  • Practice good chemical hygiene when working with bioreagents and chemicals of any kind.
  • Strive to contribute to the team's ability to produce quality products at established rates.
  • Complete assignments and reaches goals with minimal supervision. Solves problems as part of team, and assumes responsibility as appropriate.
  • Capably organizes work activities with those of teammates to maximize production efficiency.
  • Assist and understand the need for the team to maintain flexibility to meet the ever changing work environment and a variety of work situations.
  • Follow ISO standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

EDUCATION: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 2-3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Prior experience in manufacturing or biotech field, preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret manufacturing and quality control documents, technical procedures, or government regulations.
  • Ability to complete formal documentation.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to internal customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to define and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to maintain appropriate work habits and exercise communication skills in a stressful environment.
  • Thorough, accurate and detail-oriented.
  • Team player.
